Sex – The Secret Gate to Eden (Gnostic Teachings)
Every day, we experience people that have little to no control of their emotional states. The biggest emotional state we have is sex. Have you ever wondered why everything in western culture is so sexualized?
Ancient past and current Yogi’s believe that complete abstinence from sexual thought and practice is where their power comes from. They call this Sexual abstinence or sexual restraint, Brahmacharya and its power Ojas.
Swami Vivekananda describes Ojas;
“Ojas is stored up in the brain, and the more Ojas that is in a man’s head, the more powerful he is, the more intellectual, the more spiritually strong. One man may speak beautiful language and beautiful thoughts, but they, do not impress people; another man speaks neither beautiful language nor beautiful thoughts, yet his words charm. Every movement of his is powerful. That is the power of Ojas.
Now in every man there is more or less of this Ojas stored up. All the forces that are working in the body in their highest become Ojas. You must remember that it is only a question of transformation. The same force which is working outside as electricity or magnetism will become changed into inner force; the same forces that are working as muscular energy will be changed into Ojas. The Yogis say that that part of the human energy which is expressed as sex energy, in sexual thought, when checked and controlled, easily becomes changed into Ojas, and as the Muladhara guides these, the Yogi pays particular attention to that center. He tries to take up all his sexual energy and convert it into Ojas. It is only the chaste man or woman who can make the Ojas rise and store it in the brain; that is why chastity has always been considered the highest virtue. A man feels that if he is unchaste, spirituality goes away, he loses mental vigor and moral stamina. That is why in all the religious orders in the world which have produced spiritual giants you will always find absolute chastity insisted upon. That is why the monks came into existence, giving up marriage. There must be perfect chastity in thought, word, and deed; without it the practice of Raja-Yoga is dangerous, and may lead to insanity. If people practice Raja-Yoga and at the same time lead an impure life, how can they expect to become Yogis?” ~ Swami Vivekananda – Raja Yoga (1)
Raja Yoga is thousands of years old and was the first known practice to introduce Siddhis or Magical Powers. In fact, the last chapter of Raja Yoga is on how to use meditation and control of the mind to create Siddhis or magical powers.
According to Pythagoras (6th century BCE) sex should be practiced in the winter, but not the summer, but was harmful to male health in every season because the loss of semen was dangerous, hard to control and both physically and spiritually exhausting, but had no effect on females.(2)
Throughout history, and especially prior to the 20th century, there have been those who have held that sexual abstinence confers numerous health benefits. For males, lack of abstinence was thought to cause a reduction of vitality. In modern times, the argument has been phrased in biological terms, claiming that loss of semen through ejaculation results in a depletion of vital nutrients such as lecithin and phosphorus, which are also found at high levels in the brain. Conservation of the semen allegedly allows it to be reabsorbed back into the bloodstream and aid in the healthy development of the body.(3) Along these lines, the noted German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche spoke of the positive physiological effects of abstinence: “The reabsorption of semen by the blood … perhaps prompts the stimulus of power, the unrest of all forces towards the overcoming of resistances … The feeling of power has so far mounted highest in abstinent priests and hermits” (quoted by Walter Kaufman in his classic, Nietzsche: Philosopher, Psychologist, Antichrist, p. 222).
Magician Franz Bardon talking about Elementals says;
Here we have to deal with a phantom of eroticism: the birth of such a phantom – if one may use the expression of birth at all – takes place in the face, the beautiful body of a living person, sometimes only a photo, a pornographic illustration or something similar with the purpose of provoking the lust, the sexual instinct, regardless of the person belonging to the female or male sex. Provided anyone being in love, having no opportunity at all of satisfying his personal longing, the stronger and more vehement this yearning will grow, and at the same time the phantom’s insinuations will become stronger, because it is thriving entirely on thoughts of yearning. The more the concerned person tries to resist this unsatisfied love, the more obtrusive the phantom will become. At first it will turn up in dreams and allow is victim to revel in the most delightful transport of love. A little later it will provoke the sexual instinct and allow sexual intercourse in the victim’s dreams. The pollutions produced in this way help the phantom to become denser and to influence the victim more and more, because the sperm represents the vital power that the phantom is sucking up like a vampire. The point in question here is not the material sperm, but the animal vital power accumulated in the sperm. The victim is losing the ground under his feet, his willpower is diminishing, and the phantom gradually wins the upper hand. If fate is not so kind to such a one as to have him enlightened in good time and to find the right distraction for him, the phantom’s mode of action will result in more dangerous effects. The person becomes confused, stops eating, the nerves are over-excited and such like. The love-phantom can be condensed to such a degree by unsatisfied passion that it can adopt bodily forms, seducing his victim to orgasm and other artificial stimulation of the genital organs. Thousands of people have fallen victims of phantoms by committing suicide as the result of disappointment in love or unsatisfied passions. This problem recalls the memory of true occurrences of the medieval succubi and the trials for witchcraft connected therewith. A very dangerous pleasure indeed!” ~ Franz Bardon Initiation Into Hermetics
“Sex presents a problem which cannot be evaded if one wishes to use its power for development toward the suprahuman; but the mere satisfaction of instinct retards development. Certain doctrines preach the use of sexual excitement as a means of awakening higher faculties and extraordinary powers, but such methods are really dangerous and should be shunned. What they evoke is not the higher faculties, but unhealthy forces from which it is then almost impossible to free oneself. This is one of the greatest perils a man can be involved in, for he becomes the slave of these powers, and runs the risk of complete nervous and mental unbalance. On the other hand, the repression of the sexual instinct is equally a danger. Psychology has demonstrated that a passion violently thwarted is stifled rather than overcome. Conquest is only real when the adversary is disarmed by a more powerful expression of the vital force. The error is to confuse love, desire, and need. Need is an appetite, and only concerns the physical body. Needs are therefore of the animal nature, the result of physiological functions stimulated at the appropriate point of the natural cycle. Desire, when aroused by need or instinct, is a purely animal impulse. But, quite apart from animal impulses, desire can exist in man as an affinity for qualities or states of being of a more subtle sort. As a rule, however, we are not conscious of its deeper cause, and so we pervert the character of such a desire by confusing it with mere wishes, or even needs, and use it as an excuse for gratifying them, and thus the idea of love is vulgarized. The unawakened man is overtaken by these impulses and easily becomes their slave, spending his energy on them but not becoming enlightened. But he who wishes to escape from his animal nature will sincerely try to uncover his instincts and observe their working. He will of course lose the exciting effect of being taken by surprise, but he will gain in exchange the opportunity of using his instincts consciously to increase his “vital fire,” instead of prostituting the idea of love by confusing it with the satisfaction of an instinct. Sexual energy has the same origin as the subtle fire which gives life. It is for man to use it wisely or else expend it thoughtlessly.” ~ The Opening of the Way. A Practical guide to the Wisdom Teachings of Ancient Egypt by Isha Schwaller de Lubicz
From the Kybalion,
“Gender, in its Hermetic sense, and Sex in the ordinarily accepted use of the term, are not the same. The word “Gender” is derived from the Latin root meaning “to beget; to pro-create; to generate; to create; to produce.” A moment’s consideration will show you that the word has a much broader and more general meaning than the term “Sex,” the latter referring to the physical distinctions between male and female living things. Sex is merely a manifestation of Gender on a certain plane of the Great Physical Plane — the plane of organic life. We wish to impress this distinction upon your minds, for the reason that certain writers, who have acquired a smattering of the Hermetic Philosophy, have sought to identify this Seventh Hermetic Principle with wild and fanciful, and often reprehensible, theories and teachings regarding Sex.”
“The basic foundation of Taoist practice is learning to conserve the physical energy within our bodies so that it will no longer scatter and weaken as a result of our worldly interactions. Full spiritual independence requires that we avoid being drained of this energy through the eyes, ears, nose, and mouth, or through excessive sex.
We must also maintain our sexual energy, which Taoists refer to as Ching Chi. It is part of our original force, and it can be increased, provided the Ching Chi is conserved. When supplemented by the energies of the air we breathe and the food we eat, our original force helps the body produce sexual energy. People unknowingly deplete themselves of this energy, however, through excessive ejaculation and menstruation, wasting an incredible source of potential life force. By redirecting sexual energy into the internal organs and glands, people can have wonderful sex and an abundance of energy to heal and rejuvenate their bodies. Sexual energy, or Ching Chi, was discovered to be the most powerful force within the body when it is recycled internally. This process heals and strengthens the other organs and glands, increasing their production of chi. Sperm and ovum are the condensed essences of the universal and earth forces, and their power, Ching Chi, compounds itself regularly if it is recycled.” ~ Mantak Chia Healing Light of the Tao: Foundational Practices to Awaken Chi Energy
As we have shown, throughout history, many ancient cultures believed that the real power within us is in learning to control and have power over the sexual impulse and conserving of semen or female ejaculation fluids. This is why everything is sexualized in the west because it takes away the power and control, we all have available within us. We become weak, unbalanced and emotionally reactive to our own cosmic projections, we are creating. The Master becomes the Slave.
The smart Magician realizes this and exploits their created reality with their will, not being manipulated and weakened by it. We rest in the center of polarity and use our sexual energy and semen or female ejaculation fluids internally to power our magic and health. We don’t spill and waste the seed of power and creation on external sexual propaganda and imagery created to unbalance and emotionally weaken us. Transforming sexual desire and fluids into internal power is true alchemy.
Humans like to think of themselves as the most intelligent species on the planet, when in reality, the animal kingdom only has sex to procreate at certain times of the year and never for pleasure. Also, the males that do have sex with the females and procreate, are the strongest of the male species, the weak males are not allowed to weaken the herd with their semen. As the self-proclaimed, most intelligent species on this planet, we still have a lot to learn.
